Privacy Policy

StatTrakker ("StatTrakker," "we," "us," or "our") provides a stat-tracking and athlete-profile service for athletes, coaches, and scouts, available on our website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We only collect the information needed to run your account and provide the Service:

• Account information — the name you enter, a 4-digit PIN you choose, your email address, and your year of birth. An email address is required: it is how we send you your PIN if you forget it. We use your year of birth to confirm you are old enough to use StatTrakker and to know whether you are under 18.
• Profile information — your sport, position, level, team or organization, and location, which you provide when you create your passport.
• Content you enter — the athletic information you choose to add, such as games, statistics, schedules, check-ins, and journal entries.
• Basic technical information — standard web server log data, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used to keep the Service secure and working.

We do not collect payment card numbers or bank details. Subscription payments are handled by PayPal, our third-party payment processor, and we never see or store your full card information.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and let you sign in.
• To confirm you meet the minimum age for the Service.
• To send you your PIN if you forget it.
• To provide the core features of the Service — building your athlete passport, tracking stats, and managing schedules.
• To make athlete passports available to coaches and scouts, as described in "How Information Is Shared" below.
• To communicate with you about your account or important updates to the Service.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
• We do not share your information outside the Service except as described below.

How Information Is Shared

Please read this section carefully — visibility to coaches and scouts is a core feature of StatTrakker, not an optional extra.

An athlete passport is designed to be found. Coaches and scouts with StatTrakker accounts can browse the athlete pool and view passports — including athletes who are not on their team and who they have never met. What they can see includes the athlete's name, sport, position, level, team, passport score, and the stats and check-in history entered on the passport.

Passport share links. You can share a link to your passport with anyone — a coach, a recruiter, a family member. Anyone who has that link can view the passport without a StatTrakker account and without signing in. Treat a share link like a public web address: once you send it, you cannot control who it is passed on to. Only share it with people you intend to reach.

In addition, a coach can see the athlete information associated with their own team, and an athlete can see information their coach shares with them.

Outside the Service, we share information only with service providers that help us operate StatTrakker — currently our hosting provider and PayPal for payment processing — and only as needed to provide the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Athletes Under 13

StatTrakker does not currently accept registrations from athletes under the age of 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account.

We are building a parent-managed option for younger athletes. When it becomes available, an account for an athlete under 13 will only be created by a parent or legal guardian, and only after that parent or guardian completes our verifiable parental consent process, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Before that process is complete, we will not collect, use, or store any personal information about the child.

When that option launches, it will also include:

• A separate consent for discoverability. Making a child's passport visible to coaches and scouts will require its own distinct consent, given separately from consent to create the account, and it will be off by default.
• Parental access and control. A parent or guardian will be able to review everything we hold about their child, request its deletion, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops further collection and results in deletion of the child's information.

A coach, team, club, or league cannot provide this consent on a parent's behalf.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.

Athletes Aged 13 to 17

Athletes aged 13 to 17 may create an account, and need a parent or guardian's permission to do so. A parent or guardian may contact us at the address below to review or request deletion of their child's information.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. We do not keep personal information indefinitely.

• If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days.
• If an account has not been signed into for 24 months, we will contact you if we have an email address for you, and then delete the account and its information.
• Web server logs are retained for up to 14 days.

We may keep information longer only where we are required to by law.

Your Choices and Rights

You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us at the address below. A parent or guardian can make the same request on behalf of their child.

Security

Account access is protected by a personal PIN, and the Service is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Keep your PIN private and do not share it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information, and we review our security practices as the Service grows.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
